Her past actions have heavily burdened Ursula Haverbeck from Germany. Despite her advanced age, the justice system shows no leniency towards her. Known widely as the "Nazi grandma," she will face charges for incitement to hatred.

Ursula Haverbeck is a repeat offender. She became "famous" for spreading false information and denying historical facts. Among her most controversial claims are that the Auschwitz camp was merely a labour camp, that the Holocaust never happened, and that Germans did not orchestrate the mass extermination of Jews. Her legal troubles began in 2004 due to these "appearances."

The Nazi grandma in action

The legal history of Ursula Haverbeck is rather extensive. She has received multiple convictions for her morally questionable beliefs, yet she managed to avoid significant penalties until recently. It wasn't until August 2018 that a court rejected her appeal against a conviction in Verden. By that time, the Nazi grandma already owed several fines and faced 30 months of imprisonment. Each sentence was related to similar offences.

The 95-year-old Nazi strikes again

The 95-year-old grandma was sentenced again in 2022 — this time to 12 months of imprisonment. The sentence was issued for denying the mass murder of Jews during the Holocaust. Ursula Haverbeck has not yet started serving this sentence, and more legal actions are likely forthcoming. The Nazi grandma shows no remorse whatsoever.

She is being prosecuted for statements made in a television interview on the program "NDR Panorama." The 95-year-old proudly denied the mass extermination of Jews that took place in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Her trial will continue on 12 and 26 June.
