Donald Trump, who was set to run in this year’s US presidential elections, was found guilty of falsifying business records in connection with concealing hush money payments to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election campaign. The former president and the adult film actress were allegedly involved in a brief affair, and according to the prosecution, concealing the payments was an illegal attempt to influence the election outcome.
- I think he should be sentenced to jail and some community service working for the less fortunate or being the volunteer punching bag at a women’s shelter - Stormy Daniels said after the verdict was delivered.
Former lover of Donald Trump urges his wife to divorce him
The brief affair between Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump allegedly took place just a year after the former president married Slovenian model Melania Trump. The former first lady did not appear in court even once to support her husband during the trial due to the alleged falsification of business records.
Now, Stormy Daniels has directly addressed Melania Trump, urging her publicly to divorce Donald Trump. In an interview with the Mirror, she said:
- I don't know what their agreement may or may not be, but Melania needs to leave him. Not because of what he did with me or other women but because he is a convicted felon.
- It's been proven he is abusive; he was found liable for sexual assault and tax fraud and is now a criminal - Daniels stated.
In her opinion, the only reason Melania Trump still hasn’t spoken out about her husband - just like Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka - is their son, Barron.
Donald Trump on his wife's well-being
Donald Trump himself revealed how Melania is currently feeling. In an interview broadcast on "Fox & Friends," he stated that the former first lady is "fine", but it's "very hard for her".
- I think it's probably in many ways, it's tougher on my family than it is on me - said Trump.
