The kangaroo named Skippy had been missing since the beginning of the year. It has now reappeared in Lüdersdorf near Neukloster, Germany, and has been captured, according to the German portal NDR. It remains unclear where he had been for the past six months. However, it appears he managed quite well.

In Germany, the kangaroo named Skippy, who escaped six months ago, has finally been caught. It turned out that he was only 50 miles from his owner's home. Skippy escaped from his enclosure on 31 December.

The owner, who kept several kangaroos in the pen, failed to catch him. The police, who made multiple attempts, were also unsuccessful.

Earlier, the owner had informed that Skippy is not dangerous, enjoys contact with people, and accepts treats from them. These could be used to try to lure him into, for instance, a garage or back into the pen. However, despite attempts, these methods did not work.

The kangaroo was found after half a year

The owner of the kangaroo is Jens Kohlhaus from Sternberger Burg near Sternberg. The German portal NDR reports that Kohlhaus repeatedly tried to recover his animal, but without success. Skippy was last seen between the towns of Sülten and Sagsdorf at the end of March.

Last week, a resident of Lüdersdorf municipality managed to catch the kangaroo, though the details of how he managed it have not been disclosed. The man confined Skippy in his stable and informed the owner about the find.

The animal escaped from the pen in Sternberg on New Year's Eve. Due to his jumping abilities, reaching up to 10 feet, he was difficult to capture. It is still unclear where the kangaroo had been for over six months.
