The bodies of six people – three women and three men – were found in a luxury hotel in Bangkok. The local police received a report about the gruesome discovery around 17:30 Greenwich Time on Tuesday. According to "Reuters," the authorities in Thailand do not yet know the cause of the tragedy. There were no signs of a fight, assault, or shooting at the scene.

One of the police officers, in a conversation with "Reuters," denied earlier media reports that the people had died in a gunfight. “There are no signs of a gunfight,” he said. However, he did not provide any additional details.

The police stated that none of the individuals had taken their own lives. Additionally, each of them arrived at the hotel at different times. Although they were staying in other rooms, the bodies were found in one. Currently, the authorities are investigating and gathering evidence.

The Thai police issued a statement informing that the bodies of all six deceased people belonged to foreigners. All of them were believed to be from Vietnam, with two holding American passports.

The government reported that Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin ordered a swift investigation to avoid the damage the incident might cause to the tourism industry. For Thailand, tourism is a key driver, fuelling the second-largest economy in Southeast Asia.

The embassies of the United States and Vietnam in Bangkok did not respond to questions from "Reuters" regarding the matter. The Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, where the bodies were found, also did not comment on the tragedy.
