Kadyrov pledges thousands of Chechen troops to support Putin's war

The leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. He declared his support for the war operation in Ukraine, promising to send tens of thousands of trained soldiers, fully equipped and ready for immediate participation in the "special operation."

The dictators' meeting took place on Wednesday at the Kremlin. The host took a photo with the guest, who then provided a detailed, laudatory account on social media.

Ramzan Kadyrov's post on Telegram includes words of gratitude for the "support of all our efforts" and Putin's "personal involvement" in "positive changes" in the Chechen region. A new residential estate in Grozny, one of the many investments demonstrating Chechnya's vigorous development, will be named after the Russian dictator.

However, the most essential information brought to Moscow by Kadyrov is the news for the Russian Federation about the thousands of fighters who will bolster its army. As promised, they will be fully armed and well-prepared for combat.

"I informed the head of state about the region’s involvement in the SWO," Kadyrov still refers to the war as a "special operation." He also emphasized that Chechnya constantly remembers Russia’s combat efforts and strives to assist.

"Since the beginning of the operation, 43,500 fighters, including 18,000 volunteers, have been sent to the Strategic Defence Forces zone. Initially, all underwent training in Russia. They travel to their destination fully equipped," wrote the Chechen commander.

He also noted that a special foundation named after his deceased brother, "Hero of Russia Akhmad Kadyrov", makes it possible to equip the units. This organization independently treats wounded Chechens from the war in Ukraine and pays compensation to the families of the fallen, even organizing humanitarian aid in territories "liberated from Ukrainian Nazism."
