Kamala Harris was caught, or rather overheard, during her visit to Kalamazoo, Michigan, at a meeting with the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer.
During the conversation at Trak Houz Bar and Grill in Kalamazoo, Kamala Harris turned to Gretchen Whitmer and said, "We need to move ground among men."
A moment later, she realized that their conversation was being recorded. "Oh, we have microphones in here listening to everything. I didn’t realize that," she commented with surprise.
The recording of this moment quickly surfaced on social media. Many speculated that the situation might have been staged. Both politicians were wearing microphones on their clothing, and cameras and reporters were present.
The spokesperson for the Harris campaign declined to comment on the matter.
Men's support? A key issue for Harris's campaign
Regardless of the intentions, gaining support among men is crucial for Harris’s campaign. According to the "NY Post", in the latest New York Times/Siena College poll, former President Donald Trump leads among male voters, gaining 55% of the support compared to 41% for Harris. Harris has an advantage among women, securing 54% of the votes, while Trump holds 42%.
Last week, Harris downplayed these results in a conversation with NBC, asserting that she seeks the votes of all Americans.
However, according to observers, this situation poses a challenge for Harris's campaign, as winning the trust of male voters may prove crucial in the race for the White House.
