Emma Raducanu's sponsorship woes: Company reclaims luxury car

Emma Raducanu, the British tennis player, might not only be discussing an unsuccessful season but also facing challenges with sponsorship deals. According to reports from the "Daily Mail," Porsche, for which the Brit is an ambassador, has reclaimed her vehicle.

Emma Raducanu's career gained significant momentum in 2021 when she achieved a sensational victory at the US Open. She subsequently entered into numerous advertising agreements with companies such as Porsche, Dior, Vodafone, Evian, and HSBC. The arrangement with Porsche granted her a material benefit in the form of a 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet car, valued at the time at approximately £125,000.

At the time, she expressed that she had fulfilled one of her childhood dreams, as she always wanted to drive such a vehicle, inspired by a coach who used to arrive at training in a Porsche. However, according to "Daily Mail" reports, it appears that the German brand decided to take back Emma Raducanu's cherished "toy." "Although we occasionally lend Emma a car, it is very sporadic," explained the company spokesperson, adding that they remain pleased with the collaboration with the tennis player.

Emma Raducanu is a global brand ambassador for Porsche and there have not been any changes within our successful partnership since it started in 2022. We are very happy with our partnership," announced a statement for the British newspaper.
