Ukrainian drone strikes force flight suspensions in Kazan

Following the Ukrainian drone attack on Kazan, flights at Kazan and Izhevsk airports have been suspended. Among the locations struck by the drones was a luxury building.

Numerous reports from Russian media or government officials contain elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

The Kazan airport has suspended arrivals and departures of aircraft following the Ukrainian drone attack on the city. This information was provided by the Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsiya, as reported by Reuters. Temporary restrictions were also introduced at the Izhevsk airport.

Russian news agencies reported on a drone attack on a residential complex in Kazan, located roughly 805 kilometres east of Moscow. The TASS agency states that there were eight registered drone attacks, including six on residential buildings - as reported by Reuters.

Local authorities, quoted by the agencies, have not yet released information on any potential casualties from the attack. Visual material has appeared on Telegram showing an aerial object striking a high-rise building, which ignited a fire.

Rosaviatsiya added that temporary restrictions are being imposed at the Izhevsk airport, a smaller city northeast of Kazan.

Some drones hit residential buildings, one of which is a 32-storey luxury building, according to "Ukrainian Pravda".
