Upcoming Three Seas summit may reunite Trump and European presidents
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is anticipated to receive an invitation to the upcoming Three Seas Initiative summit, set to be organised at the end of April in Warsaw. As noted by Mieszko Pawlak, the head of the Polish Presidential International Policy Bureau, Trump participated in a similar event in 2017.
In April, the Three Seas Initiative summit will be held in Poland, hosted by Duda. Pawlak stated that, besides the presidents of member countries, leaders from strategic partner countries of the Initiative will be invited to the meeting in Warsaw. The United States, he highlighted, is among them.
There will be a formal invitation
A formal invitation will be dispatched only after Trump's inauguration as President of the USA. The Three Seas Initiative summit is scheduled for 28-29 April 2025.
The head of the Bureau of International Policy recalled that Trump, once at Duda's invitation, attended the Three Seas summit in 2017 in Warsaw. In this sense, the potential attendance of the US President would form a symbolic closing bracket, especially as it will be the tenth, anniversary Three Seas Initiative summit, he stated.
