Drone attack on ammunition depot forces evacuation in Krasnodar Krai
An evacuation of residents in the Tikhoretsk region of Krasnodar Krai in Russia is ongoing. Overnight, Ukrainian drones attacked a nearby ammunition depot, causing explosions. Local media are publishing footage showing the massive blasts.

Veniamin Kondratyev, the governor of Krasnodar Territory, stated that the Tikhoretsk region was the target of drone attacks.
“Two drones were suppressed by air defence forces. Debris from one caused a fire that spread to explosive materials, leading to detonations. Currently, for safety reasons, residents of a village near the fire site are being temporarily evacuated to nearby populated areas. A temporary accommodation centre has been set up in Tikhoretsk,” Kondratyev reported.
Massive explosions shook the region
He added that fire brigades and special services are working on the site. “On my orders, Anatoly Perepelin, the district head, is on the scene and providing updates on the situation. According to initial reports, " No casualties among the local residents,” stated the comprehensive report.
According to Astra, Russian military units were attacked by Ukrainian drones. Analysis indicates it was military unit 57229-41 and military unit 01704. Both are located near the village of Kamenna, which has been evacuated.

This is yet another attack on Russian ammunition depots. On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Ukrainians attacked an arsenal in the town of Toropets in Tver Oblast. The enormous explosions, recorded by seismographs, shook the region.
According to the head of the Estonian Defence Forces Intelligence Centre, Colonel Ants Kiviselg, the Russians lost a staggering 750,000 pieces of ammunition with a total weight of 30,000 tons in this spectacular attack. Kiviselg noted that Russia uses approximately 10,000 pieces of ammunition per week. - This was a stockpile for two to three months.
