A massive fire erupted in Moscow, with aviation assets deployed to tackle the blaze in both administrative and industrial buildings. There is concern that individuals might be trapped inside. The fire has affected all three levels of the structure.

The origin of the fire remains a mystery. Plumes of smoke are visible even from towns in the vicinity.

The Russian news agency TASS has reported a risk of the fire spreading to neighbouring buildings. Firefighters were reportedly summoned to the scene belatedly, complicating efforts to manage the blaze.

There's also a danger of the building collapsing. Part of the premises, as revealed by an agency source, is leased to various businesses, some of which handle flammable materials.
