In the meeting, the Ukrainian President reviewed reports from the active combat zones, learned about military operations, intelligence gatherings, and the status of stockpiles and weapons deliveries.
"We also evaluated the progress of contracts and agreements for future supplies and production of equipment, weapons, and missiles," he posted on his Telegram channel on Monday.
The discussion also covered the protection of vital infrastructure, currently under heavy attack by Russia. Issues concerning the supply of energy, water, and gas to residents and industries were also addressed.
"Secondly, we discussed continuing the construction of defensive boundaries. We got updates from the Prime Minister (Denys Shmyhal) and Bohdan Bondar, head of the special transport service of the Ministry of Defence. The work is progressing," Zelensky shared in his post.
Zelensky had previously mentioned that the fortifications being erected include three lines of defense, stretching approximately 2,000 kilometers.
The Ukrainian military described the construction process, which includes building concrete defenses known as dragon's teeth, then surrounding them with barbed wire and laying mines in the area. A network of trenches extends several hundred meters behind these defensive lines.
