Volodymyr Zelensky spoke out on Saturday evening for the first time regarding the terrorist attack at the Crocus concert hall near Moscow. "Obviously, for what happened yesterday, Putin and others are just trying to blame someone else," stated the Ukrainian President.

Be cautious! Numerous reports on alleged attacks and acts of aggression from the Ukrainian side and the progression of the war, circulated by Russian and Belarusian state media, are likely to be false. These reports may be part of an information warfare launched by the Russian Federation.

As per the latest information disclosed on Saturday by the Russian Investigative Committee, over 130 individuals lost their lives due to the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow on Friday. The Islamic State organization has taken accountability for the incident.

For hours on end, Russian propaganda has attempted to pin the blame for the attack on Kyiv, asserting that the attackers had plans to escape to Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelensky responded to Putin's allegations on Saturday evening.

"Obviously, for what occurred yesterday, Putin and others are just attempting to blame someone else. Their tactics are always the same. We've seen this before. Houses were destroyed, and there were killings and bombings. And they consistently point fingers at others. They enter Ukraine, devastate our cities, and try to accuse Ukraine," Zelensky articulated in his evening address.

US issues a warning about a potential attack

In recent weeks, the US administration alerted Russian officials about an impending attack in Russia. "The US authorities shared intelligence concerning a planned assault in Moscow for March," reported Adrienne Watson, spokesperson for the National Security Council, on Friday. The intelligence hinted at potential attacks targeting concerts.

"The narratives concocted by the Russian special services on the supposed involvement of Ukraine in the attack are utterly baseless and ludicrous," declared the advisor to the head of the Ukrainian president's office, Mykhailo Podolyak. The FSB earlier alleged that the terrorists fleeing the scene were heading towards Ukraine and "had contacts within Ukraine".

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly denies claims from Russian official representatives linking Ukraine to the terrorist act at Crocus City Hall. "We view such allegations as a deliberate provocation by the Kremlin," the Ministry stated in a release issued late Friday night.
