North Korea bolsters support for Russia with potential artillery exports amid Ukraine conflict

Among other sources, the ISW's report uses information provided by South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, which declared on Monday that North Korea had produced a 24-centimeter rocket mortar - a multiple-launch fire system (MSRP), which they could theoretically export to Russia.
Major General Vadim Skibitskiy, Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR), claimed that North Korea has supplied Russia with a million pieces of artillery ammunition from September to November 2023, according to Greenwich Time. US officials have furthermore reported that Russian forces have deployed at least nine North Korean rockets against Ukraine since February 2024, ISW points out.
Analysts at the Institute for War Studies suggest that Russia is willing to engage in monetary, technological, and defense collaborations with North Korea in return for ammunition supplies and ballistic missiles that could be utilized in Ukraine.
Zwarycz: We may have the opportunity to put an end to Russian imperialism
Vasily Zwarycz, the Ukrainian ambassador, discussed the current situation in Ukraine at the Sejm on Monday. The document "20 Days in Mariupol" by Mstyslav Chernov was presented in the Column Hall, providing a sobering depiction of the Ukrainian city left ravaged by Russian forces.
The Ukrainian ambassador stated that it was "very significant" that the screening of "20 Days in Mariupol" was held in the Sejm, "at the heart of Polish democracy." He said it served as a reminder of the values for which the Ukrainian nation is currently fighting: freedom, sovereignty, and the opportunity to independent, creating their European future with the aid of their allies.
Zwarycz called for the entirety of the free world to rally around this narrative, stating, "today, like never before, we have a historic opportunity to definitively put an end to Russian imperialism, so that good can triumph over evil and so that this evil will be made accountable following our victory, because impunity breeds violence".
