Sources in Ukrainian services and military confirm that Kyiv conducted an attack on Russian territory using drones. The strike took place overnight from Thursday to Friday, utilizing dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Ukrainska Pravda portal quotes: "Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs attacked the territory of Russia on the night of 19-20 April as part of a joint operation by Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine." The portal's sources in HUR and SBU confirmed the attack information.

Ukrainian drones carried out attacks on targets in various regions of Russia, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Tula, Smolensk, Ryazan, Kaluga, and the Moscow regions. The main target of the attacks was the energy infrastructure, which provides energy for the Russian armaments industry.

According to information from Ukrainska Pravda sources, the attack hit at least three power stations and a fuel base.

Russians confirm that damage occurred

The Russian side reported earlier that it shot down or intercepted 50 Ukrainian drones. Local authorities in Russia confirmed damage to energy facilities in the Bryansk and Kaluga regions. A fire at a fuel container in the Smolensk region was also confirmed.
