Trump and Putin to meet in Saudi Arabia for peace talks

Moreover, Trump concurred with the Pentagon chief, Pete Hegseth's statement, that Ukraine's accession to NATO is not realistic. "I agree with that. I don't think it's practical," said the US president.
Putin-Trump conversation
Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he had a phone conversation with Russia's leader, Vladimir Putin.
According to Trump, both leaders agreed that they want to stop the deaths of Russian and Ukrainian soldiers in the war in Ukraine. They also agreed to immediately start peace negotiations, which will be conducted by the appropriate teams.
"I just had a lengthy and highly productive phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, Energy, Artificial Intelligence, the power of the Dollar, and various other subjects," wrote Donald Trump on Truth Social.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the conversation.
"The Russian President expressed support for one of the US President's key arguments, which was it's time for both countries to work together," the statement on X added.
