Why does the pan get scorched at the bottom?
The bottom of the pan is particularly susceptible to drying grease. Sometimes, we place it on dirty grills or stoves, which makes its surface dirty. Furthermore, when we prepare a dish, the contents of the pan can spill over and end up on the walls and bottom. Additionally, flames or high induction temperatures can damage the external part of the pan.
Accumulated dirt not only looks unsightly but also affects the pan's condition. Consequently, it becomes less durable, leading to food burning more easily. That's why it's important to pay attention to "dripping" dirt and the condition of our stove. If dirt accumulates, the pan should be washed in warm water with washing-up liquid as soon as it cools down.
A homemade solution for stubborn dirt
Cleaning a pan is not one of the most pleasant tasks, as it’s usually time-consuming, and often the results are not satisfactory. Unfortunately, washing-up liquid alone may turn out to be ineffective in this battle. That's why it's worth trying the proven method shared by @anetazorganizowana on her Instagram.
1. Sprinkle table salt on the bottom of the pan, covering the entire external surface.
2. Then pour washing-up liquid onto the same area.
3. Generously cover everything with bicarbonate of soda.
4. Cover it all with several sheets of kitchen roll.
5. After this step, pour white vinegar over it to soak all the paper.
6. Wait 30 minutes.
7. After this time, you can easily wipe everything off with a kitchen roll, and there will be no trace of the grease.
