Minced meat patties are a staple in the cuisine, but frying them in a pan involves too much fat and creates a strong smell throughout the house. Hence, more and more people are choosing an alternative method – baked minced meat patties. This method ensures juiciness and a crispy crust without the need for frying. Thanks to this method, the patties are lighter, healthier, and just as tasty, making their preparation effortless.

Oven-baked minced meat patties – the ideal solution for everyone

Traditional minced meat patties often need a large amount of fat for frying, making them hard to digest. Baking them in the oven reduces the calorie content while maintaining their exceptional flavour. Oven-baked minced meat patties come out tender on the inside and pleasantly crispy on the outside. Moreover, it eliminates the problem of splattering fat and the necessity for lengthy frying over the stove.

Ingredients for oven-baked minced meat patties:

  • 500 grams of minced meat (e.g., from ham or pork shoulder),
  • 1 onion with spring onion,
  • 1-2 tablespoons of oil (for sautéing the onion),
  • 1 stale roll (soaked in milk or water),
  • 1 egg,
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley,
  • 2 teaspoons of granulated garlic,
  • Salt and pepper to taste,
  • Bread crumbs for coating,
  • About 15-20 grams of butter.

How to prepare oven-baked minced meat patties?

  1. Prepare the onion – Finely chop the onion and spring onion, then sauté them in a bit of oil until they become translucent.
  2. Mix the ingredients – Add the drained roll, sautéed onion, egg, chopped parsley, and spices to the minced meat. Thoroughly mix with your hand so the ingredients blend well. If the mixture is too thin, add a little bread crumbs.
  3. Form the patties – Shape small patties from the prepared mixture, lightly flatten them, and coat them in bread crumbs.
  4. Bake instead of fry – Place the patties on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Make a slight indentation in the middle of each and place a little butter there – this will make them even juicier.
  5. Put in the oven – Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan mode) and bake the patties for 20 minutes. Then, increase the temperature to 190°C, turn on the upper grill, and bake for 15-20 minutes until the patties are golden brown.

Oven-baked minced meat patties are a method that, once tried, you won't return to frying! Simple to prepare, full of flavour, and perfect for a family dinner – I recommend it to anyone who values healthy and tasty cuisine.
