Zelensky emphasises gratitude amid tensions over security talks
After the American Secretary of State, J.D. Vance, accused Zelensky of not expressing gratitude towards the USA, the President of Ukraine posted individual thanks to each world leader who showed solidarity with Ukraine on platform X.
On Friday, at the White House, Donald Trump welcomed the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. As previously announced by the American leader and confirmed by the Ukrainian President, the aim was to sign an agreement on mineral extraction.
However, the Ukrainian side repeatedly emphasised that it would only proceed with the signing if it received security assurances from the American side.
In the Oval Office, there was a clash between the politicians when the President of Ukraine mentioned the necessity of ensuring security guarantees for Ukraine and actively involving Kyiv in the negotiation process.
Zelensky's series of thanks
One user on platform X noted that the Ukrainian President's response to the absence of thanks to the USA was to express gratitude to everyone on social media who publicly supported Ukraine.
Users on X also compiled all of Volodymyr Zelensky's posts in which he had previously thanked the USA for its support of Ukraine.
