Unconventional trick for sparkling floors: Try shaving foam
Cleaning floor panels can be a time-consuming task. Although many methods exist to restore the original shine of panels, not all are effective. However, it turns out that an unusual product can assist with this.
Does cleaning floor panels give you a headache and make you feel nauseous? Despite spending a lot of time on this task, are they still not shiny? There is a solution to this problem. Have a look in your bathroom cabinets, and you will find a product that will make your floor cleaner than ever.
What to use to clean panels so they shine?
To achieve shiny floor panels, shaving foam can help you. This product not only cleans and degreases but also eliminates tough stains. The glycerine and moisturising compounds in it will make the floor shiny and fragrant.
What you need to do is squeeze the foam onto a mop and spread it over the panels, gently rubbing it in. Then, add a jug of water, a splash of fabric softener, and a few tablespoons of vinegar to the bucket. Dip the mop in the mixture and wipe the floor again.
Ways to achieve shiny panels
However, this method is not the only effective one. If you don't have shaving foam, use spirit vinegar. Simply add three tablespoons to a bucket of water to enjoy shiny panels. Vinegar can either be added to the water containing the floor cleaner, or you can apply it to the floors just before cleaning.
If the smell of vinegar bothers you or you are concerned it will linger in the house, simply dilute the vinegar with more water, i.e., 3 tablespoons of vinegar per 4.5 litres of water. You can also add several drops of your favourite essential oil to the water. Some oils have antibacterial properties. This type of double-purpose, scented floor disinfection combined with polishing is particularly useful if you have children or pets at home.
