Russians redeploying forces
Russia has already redeployed around 30,000 soldiers from Ukraine to the Kursk direction, and this number is increasing. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the enemy is trying to withdraw units from other directions, spoke online at the "Ukraine 2024: Independence" forum in Kyiv.
"Obviously, the Kursk operation has led to the redirection of a significant number of enemy forces. At this moment, we can confirm that around 30,000 Russian soldiers have already been directed to the Kursk direction. This number continues to grow," emphasised Syrskyi.
He noted that one of the tasks of the offensive operation in the Kursk direction "was to divert significant enemy forces from other directions, primarily Pokrovsk and Kurakhove."
"Currently, we are still advancing, inflicting measurable losses on Russian troops in terms of personnel and equipment. So far, we have taken control of 500 square miles of territory, encompassing 100 localities," declared the General.
