Panic in Russia. Let us recall that on Monday, representatives of the central and regional authorities of Russia discussed, among other things, the situation in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The situation is decidedly more difficult in the former, where, according to official information provided by Governor Aleksey Smirnov, Ukraine has taken control of 28 localities.
On Tuesday, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrski reported that Ukraine controls 74 settlements. On the same day, the US President spoke for the first time about the situation in the Kursk region.
I regularly talk about this topic with my colleagues, probably every four or five hours over the past six or eight days. This creates a real dilemma for Putin. We are in direct contact, constant contact with the Ukrainians - said US President Joe Biden, quoted by PAP.
Joe Biden made it clear that the United States is not involved in Ukraine's offensive inside Russia.
The only reason we are talking about this issue is the fact that the country waging war in Ukraine is Russia - said US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel.
Patel also dismissed rumours and assured that representatives of the United States were not informed of Ukraine's plans against Russia.
This is how Russia wants to fight for Kursk
According to the Russian independent portal Astra, several hundred service refusers were forcibly put on a plane in St Petersburg and transported to Kursk.
Some were lured under the pretext of urgent construction work. They reportedly even received rifles, and it is only a matter of time before they join the fight against the Ukrainians.
