Ukraine offensive hits Kursk: Dagestan leader calls for aid

In February 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine, but now it is Ukraine that is advancing. For about a dozen days, Ukrainians have been conducting attacks in the Kursk region. This is a historic moment, as it is the first time since the Second World War that a foreign army has entered Russian territory.
The Russians did not even consider such a scenario, as evident in the ease and speed of the Ukrainian territorial gains. In many places, essential products are starting to run out. For this reason, there are increasing collections of money and goods throughout Russia for the residents of the attacked areas.
Leader of Dagestan appeals to residents
The leader of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, has appealed to his citizens. He encourages all who wish to donate their one-day salary for the residents of the Kursk region. For this purpose, he has also created a special fund called "All Together".
Melikov on 13 August on his Telegram channel announced that among Dagestanis, there is no indifference to what is happening in the Kursk region. Today they are all with them in their thoughts and feelings, and many want to help but do not know how to help our friends from Kursk. He claimed the funds would be transfered to their friends who have fallen victim to the inhumane crimes of our enemies.
The authorities in Moscow and employees of the Bank of Russia encourage similar assistance, offering special loans to the evacuees.
