The President of the USA, Donald Trump, decided to revoke access to classified information for Antony Blinken, the former Secretary of State, and Jake Sullivan, the former National Security Advisor to the White House. This information was provided by the Reuters agency.

Similar steps were taken by Trump the day before against his predecessor, Joe Biden, depriving him of access to classified information and daily intelligence briefings. This was in response to Biden's decision in 2021, when Trump was deprived of such privileges.

Trump also revoked access to classified information for Biden's Deputy Attorney General, Lisa Monaco, who was involved in coordinating the Justice Department's response to the attacks on the Capitol on 6 January 2021.

Further actions by Trump

Access to classified information was also revoked for the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, and the Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg. Both individuals were conducting cases against Trump.
