Trump revokes Biden's intelligence access after security row

The US President, Donald Trump, has announced that he has revoked his predecessor Joe Biden's access to classified information and daily intelligence briefings. This decision mirrors a similar action taken by Biden in 2021.

"There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings," Trump wrote on the platform Truth Social.

Trump pointed out that Biden had acted similarly towards him, thereby breaking the prevailing custom. In his post on Truth Social, Trump referred to the report by Special Counsel Robert Hur, who investigated the issue of classified documents unintentionally held by Biden. Hur suggested that Biden suffers from "poor memory," and even in his "prime," confidential information could not be entrusted to him.

"I will always protect our National Security - JOE, YOU'RE FIRED!" added the US President.

It is worth recalling that Trump himself was under investigation for holding secret documents, including those concerning nuclear weapons. Despite the charges, the case was dismissed following his electoral victory in November of last year.
