47-year-old Tom Brady, regarded by many as one of the best players in the history of American football, has acquired five per cent of the Raiders' shares.

The subject of his involvement with the club had been discussed for a year and a half. The main theme of the discussions was determining the final percentage of his stake. Another problematic issue was the potential conflict of interest, as Brady serves as a commentator for NFL games on Fox Sports.

Considering this situation, NFL league management has imposed restrictions on Brady's media activities. From this point on, as a club co-owner, he must adhere to the rule of "avoiding criticism of teams and opposing team referees." This is to ensure neutrality when commenting on matches in which his team participates.

Tom Brady is the most decorated player in the history of NFL competitions, being the only one to win seven Super Bowl titles in his career - with the New England Patriots (six times between 2000 and 2019) and with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. His sporting achievements are impressive: he was named the most valuable player of the league final (Super Bowl MVP) five times and has received the regular season MVP award three times.

As part of honouring his career, in 2024 a statue of the legend was erected at the New England Patriots' stadium, and his number 12 was retired. This decision was made by the club's owner, Robert Kraft. "Brady ended his career on 1 February 2023," underscores PAP.

Before relocating in 2020, the Las Vegas Raiders had headquarters in the Californian cities of Oakland and Los Angeles. The Las Vegas franchise now counts the football legend as a minor shareholder, which will surely resonate for a long time in the sports community.

It is worth mentioning that this is not Brady's only involvement in the world of sports. He also holds shares in other clubs: English Birmingham City, competing in the Championship, and the WNBA team, the Las Vegas Aces.
