Tension at the Super Bowl: Trump mocks Swift's rough night
Taylor Swift made an appearance on Sunday at the Super Bowl finale in New Orleans, where she was booed by the fans. President Donald Trump seized the chance to criticise her for supporting his competitor during the presidential elections.
The American singer, Taylor Swift, attended the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year. This time, the Kansas City Chiefs, the team for which her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, plays, were defeated. Swift herself faced boos from the stadium's crowd.
President Donald Trump was also present at the game in New Orleans, having arrived on Air Force One. Shortly after the event, he posted on his Instagram profile, remarking on the fans' reaction to Taylor Swift.
"The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!" Trump wrote, alluding to his campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again" (MAGA).
What prompted this hostility? During the presidential elections in the USA, Taylor Swift was among the celebrities who openly supported Trump's competitor, Kamala Harris.
