Russia's staggering toll: 850,000 soldiers lost in Ukraine conflict
According to data from the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia has already lost over 850,000 soldiers in the ongoing war with Ukraine. The aggressor's losses include both those killed and wounded.
The war in Ukraine has been ongoing for nearly three years, and the losses on the Russian side are immense. As reported by the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia has lost over 850,000 soldiers, comprising both the dead and the injured.
In the past 24 hours alone, this number increased by 1,170 people. Russia has not commented on these reports.
Apart from human losses, Russia has also experienced significant equipment losses. Ukrainian sources report the destruction of over 10,000 tanks and 20,000 armoured combat vehicles. Additionally, Russia is reported to have lost nearly 23,000 artillery systems. The Ukrainian army regularly updates this information.
Difficult situation on the front
Despite the substantial losses, the fighting at the front continues. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported the liberation of the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Donetsk region. However, Ukrainian analysts refute these claims, insisting that the battle for the town is still ongoing.
In light of the prolonged conflict, many countries are urging a ceasefire and the initiation of peace talks.
