Russia vows retaliation as us plans missile deployment in Germany

The White House announced on 10 July that the United States would begin deploying long-range missiles in Germany in 2026, including hypersonic missiles, SM-6 missiles, and Tomahawk missiles. According to the United States, this is to show their commitment to NATO and their contribution to Europe's "integrated deterrence".
The Russians do not intend to leave this move unanswered. Sergei Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, commented on this issue. - I confirm: if the Commander-in-Chief (Vladimir Putin - ed.), if our military says it needs special ammunition on such and such ships, so be it - he said in an interview with Rossiya 1 television, as quoted by the Kremlin agency TASS.
- However, these decisions must be made based on a combination of factors. I admit, however, that such a need may arise - the diplomat emphasised.
Putin threatens the West. Germany "will not be intimidated"
Earlier, on 28 July, during the Navy Day celebration in St. Petersburg, Putin warned Washington that Moscow would stop unilaterally adhering to the moratorium on the deployment of medium and short-range missiles if American missiles appeared in Germany.
The German Foreign Ministry responded to these threats. - Russia’s threats concerning the planned stationing of long-range weapons in Germany will not make the government in Berlin change course - said a Foreign Ministry spokesman, as quoted by the Tagesschau portal. - We will not be intimidated by such statements - he emphasized.
