Many of the pieces of information delivered by Russian media and government representatives are likely not true. These reports could be part of an information war from the Russian Federation.

Reports that Vladimir Putin is seriously ill have been circulating for a while. There are even theories suggesting the death of the Russian dictator. One theory alleges that Putin passed away in October last year and since then, a lookalike has been making appearances at official events on his behalf. This is just one of many astonishing claims floating around online.

There is speculation that, while Putin is alive, he is suffering from a terminal illness. Believing that his time is limited, he is supposedly keen to amend the law. This would facilitate a transfer of power in Russia to a successor of his choosing. According to reports by "The Mirror", Putin would like this privilege to go to his eldest son, born from an unpublicized relationship with the former gymnast Alina Kabaeva.

Rumours of Putin's relationship with Kabaeva have been around for a while, though never officially confirmed. It is whispered that the couple has two daughters and two sons. It is the elder of the sons, who is currently 9 years old, who is reportedly destined to succeed his father. To allow the boy to ascend to power, Putin is believed to be working on changes to the constitution.

"I assume that Putin is waiting for one of his sons to become an adult. He could change the constitution overnight to allow an 18-year-old son to succeed him in a royal manner, instead of waiting until he reaches 35 and can run for office" — stated Russian lawyer, former deputy, and political analyst Mark Feigin, quoted by "Super Express".

The secret life of Putin

Vladimir Putin's private life is shrouded in strict secrecy. Officially, it's said that Putin has two adult daughters from his marriage to his former wife, Lyudmila. Meanwhile, rumours suggest he is the father of at least six children.

Ivan, along with three of his siblings, is believed to be the offspring of Putin's relationship with Alina Kabaeva. He was born in a private clinic in Switzerland. His birth is said to have been overseen by Dr. Natalia Thiebaud Kondratieva, much like that of Putin's younger son, who was born in Moscow, however.
