In the past season, German media frequently reported on Borussia Dortmund defender Nicklas Süle's poor form. His problem was purportedly linked to difficulties in maintaining a healthy diet.

- There was also the topic of eating pizza six times a week and kebab eight times. That doesn't work - Markus Babbel, who had the opportunity to work with him, told "Bild".

In December 2023, before the Christmas break, the defender weighed over 220 pounds. Between the end of the autumn round and the start of the winter training camp, he only managed to maintain his weight.

However, the defender's weight issues appear to be a thing of the past. A photo from the current training camp has circulated online, showing Süle looking significantly different from recent months.

According to media reports, the German has lost about one and a quarter stone. Judging by the new photograph, he seems to have returned to his previous form.

Süle, who has been with Borussia since 2022, is set to compete for a place in the starting lineup. His main rivals are Nico Schlotterbeck, Waldemar Anton, and Soumaila Coulibaly. However, it is not ruled out that additional reinforcements may be needed for this position.
