"It will resemble the infamous Apocalypse, signifying the end of everything," describes Medvedev, on how Russia would react to a potential war with NATO countries. The former president, known for his regular threats conveyed via media, paints a grim picture.

Medvedev's critique of Western leaders

Polsat News reports that Medvedev, the former President of Russia, believes Western politicians to be patronising their citizens, considering them to be 'brainless idiots'. He suggests leaders should instead communicate the 'harsh truth'. They insist on the need to prepare for a war with Russia, even though, in Medvedev's view, Russia has never indicated any intention of declaring war on NATO countries.

Furthermore, he alleges that the primary aim of Western politicians is to sway public opinion, to justify the considerable expenditure towards Ukraine.

Improbable scenario

"Such a war, were it to happen, would hardly follow the routine script of a special military operation," reports Polsat News, quoting the former Russian president. "The reaction would be asymmetrical; ballistic and manoeuvering weapons equipped with special warheads would be employed to safeguard our country's territorial integrity," he threatens further, reinstating that any such scenario would bear a resemblance to the Apocalypse.

Yet, Medvedev understands that if Moscow were to engage in armed conflict with Western countries, it wouldn't fare well. NATO's military potential significantly outweighs that of Russia.
