Manchester City's Haland pranked with an obscene message on the match ball

Erling Haaland returned with the ball from the Manchester City match against West Ham United. As it turned out, it's likely a teammate decided to prank the striker. An obscene message was found written on the football.

Taking the ball home is a tradition after scoring a hat-trick. A player who scores three goals in one match takes the lucky object and often asks to have it decorated in the changing room with the signatures of teammates.

Erling Haaland already has many of these commemorative balls, as he is one of the most prolific goal-scorers in the world. He recently scored three goals in the Manchester City match against West Ham United, which ended with a score of 3-1.

The Norwegian posed for a photo with the lucky ball. Erling Haaland sat comfortably in an airplane seat, holding the football. It is unknown whether, by accident or on purpose, he revealed the message with the obscene phrase.

The phrase "f(...) off" on the ball gently translates to "go away". Probably one of his teammates decided to prank Erling Haaland and didn't limit himself to just signing the ball.

The Manchester City striker is an athlete with a rather unusual personality who likes to make a stir on social media. Therefore, it is hard to believe the photo was accidentally posted on Instagram. Perhaps Erling Haaland, impressing early in the season with his effectiveness, wanted to convey something to his critics.

Erling Haaland travelled by plane to Norway because he had an international break after the third match in the Premier League. This time, he will try to score goals in the Nations League in the national team's colours.
