Fenugreek is available as seeds, ground grains, or encapsulated extracts. The simplest way to consume it is by pouring boiling water over the seeds to prepare an infusion. In this form, holy grass is most easily absorbed by the body. The seeds are a common ingredient, for instance, in Korycin cheeses.

How does fenugreek support weight loss?

Fenugreek, a plant from the legume family, is rich in soluble fibre, which provides a feeling of fullness, thereby reducing uncontrolled snacking between meals. Additionally, fibre supports bowel function, which is crucial for effective toxin removal from the body. Fenugreek also benefits the skin, hair, and nails by supplying them with essential vitamins and minerals.

Those on a weight loss diet will be impressed by the thermogenic properties of fenugreek. An infusion made from the seeds increases body temperature, positively impacting metabolism. Moreover, it reduces the absorption of fats and carbohydrates, preventing the accumulation of unnecessary body fat.

Nutritional values of fenugreek

Fenugreek is rich in nutrients such as protein, fibre, vitamins A, B6, and C, folic acid, iron, potassium, zinc, sodium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. These nutrients positively affect the functioning of the body’s digestive, immune, circulatory, and hormonal systems.
