Monday, February 5, marked Cristiano Ronaldo's 39th birthday. The Portuguese sensation is certainly closer to the end than the beginning of his sporting career. Still, as he himself reassures, he feels fantastic and has no intention of hanging up his football boots anytime soon.

The global football icon has his sights set. Despite Cristiano Ronaldo's retirement from European club football, in favor of a profitable contract with Saudi Al-Nassr, he intends to aid the Portuguese national team in their pursuit of victory in this year's European championships.

Cristiano Ronaldo's social media accounts and that of his life partner, Georgina Rodriguez, are closely monitored. They both stay connected with their fans. The model, in particular, frequently updates her network with fresh photographs and news.

It was, therefore, surprising for internet users that Georgina Rodriguez did not publicly wish her famous partner on Monday. She didn't post a picture or even a story on Instagram. A spontaneous "amateur investigation" quickly ensued about what might have prompted such an incident.

To put an end to conjectures, Cristiano Ronaldo made a decisive move. Two photos surfaced on the footballer's Instagram account. In one, he's pictured with Georgina Rodriguez and his kids; in the other, only with his daughters. The setting suggests a birthday celebration, with a spectacular cake on the table and a bouquet of white roses in Ronaldo's hands.

I am grateful to celebrate my 39th birthday in the best way possible: surrounded by family and back on the training pitch. Thank you all for the warm messages - Cristiano Ronaldo writes, referring also to his recent return to training after an injury.
