The partners of Manchester United players are being roped into the club's cost-saving plan, whether they're on board or not. They're now required to arrange and fund their own travel for the FA Cup final in London, a significant departure from the club's previous practices.

At the club's helm, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has implemented a series of cost-cutting measures, which he has shared with the club's employees. One notable change is the players' wives and partners facing unexpected expenses.

On May 25, the partners will travel from Manchester to London to watch United face local rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final. However, the partners will pay for their match tickets and travel expenses this time.

Previously, Manchester United would cover transportation and accommodation and organize grand celebrations post-match for the players' loved ones. This year, however, "The Mirror" reports that the club is cutting these expenditures.

This measure, though largely symbolic, has sparked some discontent. It's unlikely to substantially bolster the club's finances or strain the players' household budgets. Nonetheless, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has committed to more prudent spending, a move not welcomed by the club's staff, per "The Mirror".

The partners must swiftly coordinate their London itinerary, with the final swiftly approaching on May 25. They're unlikely to consider missing the opportunity to witness the FA Cup final life and possibly celebrate with the trophy afterwards.

Securing victory will be no small feat, given Manchester United's opponent is a powerhouse, currently leading the Premier League and having triumphed in the Champions League last season. Support at Wembley could indeed prove crucial.
