This fluffy, light, and intense chocolate mousse is made with only two ingredients in just a few moments. It's hard to resist and even harder to guess what it's made from. It's a must-have in any recipe collection.

This chocolate mousse is quick, easy to prepare, tastes amazing, and has compelling ingredients. Dark chocolate and fruit purée are the two key ingredients of this speciality, creating one of my favourite desserts. It so convincingly "imitates" a real mousse that both adults and children are fooled by it.

How to make light chocolate mousse?

This chocolate mousse tastes excellent and doesn't leave you feeling guilty. You can confidently add it to your diet because it's made from fruits and dark chocolate. Of course, the best choice would be dark chocolate with a high cocoa content. It's worth noting here, however, that this type of chocolate has the highest calorie content – dark chocolate with 60% cocoa contains about 516 calories in 100 grams. It's important to remember the invaluable properties of cocoa and dark chocolate, which we discussed HERE.

The other ingredient of the chocolate mousse is another purée – fruit purée. You can use apple purée, which provides both sweet and slightly sour notes and will also make the dessert lighter and fluffier. You can prepare an apple purée from 2-3 stewed and mashed apples. Instead, you can also use bananas – such mousse will be "heavier" than apple mousse but will work just as well. It's best to use slightly browning fruits and blend them until smooth. After mixing the ingredients and spending a few moments in the refrigerator, the chocolate mousse acquires a firm consistency.
