The President of the United States, Donald Trump, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Oval Office to discuss important matters concerning the role of the USA and Europe in maintaining peace after the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine.

During this meeting, commentators noted a large bruise on President Trump's right hand, which appeared to be concealed with makeup.

This observation sparked speculation regarding the cause of the discolouration. Some commentators suggested it might result from intravenous fluids, while others speculated it could be due to blood-thinning medications.

The White House explains

In response to growing questions, the White House addressed the matter. During a press conference, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, "President Trump is a man of the people. His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day."

- President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day - added Leavitt.

This is not the first instance where bruises have been observed on Trump's hands. Internet users also noted them in December 2024. The President has not commented on the matter.

In contrast to former President Joe Biden, Trump does not release detailed health reports to the public.
