Bayer Leverkusen's historic unbeaten run ends Bayern's dominance

This season, Bayer 04 Leverkusen was unbeatable on the domestic front. The team became the first to win the Bundesliga without a defeat. As a result, they received a gift from WWE's chief content officer, Triple H.

The 2023/24 season of the German Bundesliga was groundbreaking. At last, Bayern Munich's hegemony, which had been unrivalled on the domestic front for the past 11 years, was broken, and Leverkusen kept winning the league competitions.

However, the Bavarians' series was not maintained, as they performed significantly worse in this year's campaign. Not only did they fail to defend the championship title, but they ultimately finished in third place in the table.

This season, Bayer 04 Leverkusen dominated the Bundesliga. In 34 matches, the team did not record any defeats, with only 6 draws. VfB Stuttgart was the country's runner-up.

Previously, no other team had won the German league without a defeat, which made the team from Leverkusen go down in history. However, Bayer did not have a clean sheet for the entire season, as they lost in the Europa League final to Atalanta Bergamo 0-3.

Nonetheless, their Bundesliga feat was honoured by Triple H, the chief content officer of WWE. The well-known wrestler decided to send Bayer a special gift: a championship belt from the organisation. Its side parts were decorated with the club's crest.
