"Congratulations to President Donald Trump and the American people on the inauguration! This is a day of change and hope for resolving many issues, including global challenges," Zelensky wrote on the X platform.

Zelensky noted that Trump has always been a "determined politician," and his approach could bolster American leadership.

"His policy of peace through strength offers a chance to strengthen American leadership and achieve a lasting and just peace - that's the most important thing," wrote the President of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president emphasised that the fate of this century is currently being decided. He appealed for it to become "a great and successful century for democracy, not for those who wish us all failure."

The leader of Ukraine also expressed hope for active cooperation with the new U.S. president, stressing that together they could ensure greater security and stability.

"Together we are stronger" Zelensky wrote on the X platform.

"Good luck, President Trump! We eagerly anticipate our active and mutually beneficial cooperation." Together we are stronger and can provide the world and our citizens with greater security, stability, and economic growth, he concluded.
