Xiaomi 14 ready for European debut with new Ultra variant potentially in pipeline

The company officially announced that the international debut of the Xiaomi 14 line is planned for February 25. This event will occur during the MWC 2024 trade show in Barcelona.

Even though we refer to this as a "series," information surfaced earlier suggesting that the Xiaomi 14 Pro model was supposed to be exclusive to the Chinese market. This led to speculation that on February 25, the basic model along with a new, as-yet-unveiled variant known as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be revealed. This speculation is further fueled by the company hinting at something "big" on the horizon.

Xiaomi 14 - Specifications

The Xiaomi 14 was promoted as the first phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, but this novelty won't impact the European market significantly as devices like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and OnePlus 12 are already on the market.

The new flagship smartphone from Xiaomi is designed to operate on the Xiaomi HyperOS system, which has replaced MIUI. Although still based on the Android system, this new software aims to provide faster operation and improved compatibility with other devices.

At this article's publication time, Xiaomi's Polish branch has not yet announced the official release date in Poland. However, last year, details about availability and price were announced immediately after the European premiere. Therefore, it's highly likely that the same will occur this year.

The Chinese version of the Xiaomi 14 has the following technical specifications:

- A 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of approximately 1256 x 567 (521ppi), a variable refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits;

- An in-screen optical fingerprint reader;

- A 4880mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging;

- Dimensions of approximately 63.58 x 29.63 x 3.34 inches and a weight of 223g;

- IP68 waterproof certification.
