Winter assault causes 100‑car pile-up in China's Suzhou city, leaving nine injured

China is currently experiencing a winter assault that is causing road traffic paralysis, among other things. Blizzards and freezing rain are causing many accidents and difficulties.

The unfavourable weather conditions likely contributed to the massive car crash, in which nine people were injured. The Chinese police reported no fatalities.

As seen in the footage released by Reuters, the extent of the damage is substantial. Assessing the damage to the cars, it's hard to believe no-one was killed.
