Fans have finally gotten their wish. The Max platform has released the first materials from the upcoming third season of the award-winning series "White Lotus". Max showcased a preview of its premieres scheduled for late 2024 and early 2025, including the first shots from the series created by Mike White. There will not only be a new location for the renowned hotel, but above all, a new cast.
The new season will feature Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Parker Posey, Scott Glenn, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Natasha Rothwell will return to her role from the first season. Certainly, we will no longer see the character played by Jennifer Coolidge. The actress experienced a phenomenal career resurgence, portraying the neurotic Tanya. When the crew was filming the new season in Thailand, the star commented:
"I’m jealous of everyone that’s going. I just want to stress, I’m not a good sport about it, but there’s nothing I can do. When they kill you, you have to accept it. Because it means they’re not calling for your costume sizes or anything. It’s over! I have to get another thing. I have to make another thing happen, I guess. But am I sad? I just want to say in all honesty, I’m very sad I’m not in it."
The plot of "White Lotus" will again focus on guests at the luxury hotel, where dark secrets lie behind the facade of wealth. How will Mike White ridicule the privileged white people who land in a country with a different culture this time? Fans still need to be patient, as Max has not yet announced the premiere date for the third season. The nearest major premiere on this platform is the series "Dune: The Prophecy", which will be available to watch from 18th November.
