Located in eastern Ukraine, Vovchansk has been almost completely destroyed by the Russians. About 100 people remain in the city, reported the Ukrainian agency UNIAN, citing information from local authorities.

The city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region has been practically destroyed due to the Russian offensive. The Russians continue to level the city using guided aerial bombs, said Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.

— However, the enemy did not accomplish their task and did not capture the city — he added.

In the areas of the Kharkiv region affected by the fighting, the evacuation of civilians continues. About 100 people remain in Vovchansk, and even fewer in the town of Lyptsi, said Oleh Synyehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional authorities.

He noted that evacuation from the northern part of the city, currently occupied by the Russians, is impossible. — Despite the shelling, police officers and volunteers are engaged in the evacuation process in the southern part of the city — said Synyehubov.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commenting on the situation at the front in the Kharkiv region, stated, "although the enemy tried twice to break through the defence, Ukrainian soldiers maintain control of the situation."

— Our defenders in some areas carry out assault operations to improve tactical positions and conduct clearing operations. In Vovchansk, Ukrainian units are strengthening defences to improve tactical positions — the Ukrainian military emphasized.
