Vinicius snubbed: Seedorf criticizes Ballon d'Or decision

Seedorf, who once dazzled fans at Real Madrid, expressed his great surprise at Vinicius Junior not receiving a Ballon d'Or. The Dutchman asserts that the Brazilian truly merited this honour, suggesting that the final decision may have stemmed from an ongoing conflict between Real Madrid and UEFA.
I think there are problems between Real Madrid and UEFA, which affected some things in the results, Seedorf remarked during an interview with TNT Sports Brasil.
He lamented that such tension could influence the outcome of the voting.
Vinicius Junior is the one who definitely deserves the award. It is a shame, he continued.
The Dutchman further stated that Vinicius deserved the title because of his outstanding performances and that he believed Vinicius was the leading contender for the prestigious award.
