"Ukrainian Pravda," citing sources close to President Zelensky, provided information about Kuleba's resignation. According to them, the first deputy minister, Andriy Sybiga, is the most likely candidate for the new head of Ukrainian diplomacy.
The newspaper's sources also reported that more dismissals might occur within the government. The only member who can relax is the Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal.
Davyd Arakhamia, head of the ruling Servant of the People party, stated that this week, there would be a "major government reset," affecting over 50% of the cabinet members.
In the evening, it was revealed that Zelensky had dismissed Rostyslav Shurma, the deputy head of the Presidential Office. MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak from the Holos party stated that this decision was due to the "position of partners" and "blatant corruption."
Changes in the government. Zelensky speaks of strengthening "certain areas"
On Tuesday, Iryna Vereshchuk, the deputy prime minister of Ukraine and minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories, and Olha Stefanishyna, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, resigned. According to media reports, Stefanishyna may be the Minister of Justice.
"Autumn will be extremely important for Ukraine. Our state institutions should be configured so that Ukraine achieves all the goals we need. To do this, we must strengthen certain areas in the government, and we have prepared personal decisions. There will also be changes in the Office. I also expect a slightly different weight in some areas of our foreign and domestic policy," stated President Zelensky in his evening address.
Zelensky asserted that Ukraine must "significantly strengthen cooperation with NATO" and prepare for EU membership negotiations. "It is a very clear legal and political work. We will be personally responsible for it," he stated.
