Halle Bailey decided to clarify her earlier reaction to the appearance of her 11-month-old son, Halo, on Kai Cenat's live stream. Initially, she expressed her dismay on platform X, stating that as a mother, she felt upset not having been informed about this appearance.
Bailey acknowledged that her reaction yesterday may have been overly emotional and that taking the issue to social media was unnecessary. She expressed confidence that Halo is always safe with his father but admitted feeling uncomfortable finding out about her child's activities at the same time as everyone else. She also expressed gratitude for the gifts Kai gave her son.
Understanding despite the breakup
This situation took place just over a month after DDG revealed that he and Halle had mutually decided to end their relationship following thoughtful discussions. The rapper and YouTuber mentioned that while it was a difficult decision, they felt it was the best path for both. The couple, who welcomed their first child in July, had recently shared their affection publicly. Bailey had described her relationship with DDG as her "first deep, true love" during an interview with Cosmopolitan.
While Bailey was out of town, she learned about Halo's appearance on the stream through viewers' reports, which initially caused her distress. "I am out of town and I don't approve of my baby being on stream tonight," she wrote in one of her first posts. "I wasn't told or notified, and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people," she added.
DDG defends Halle
DDG, who had previously received online criticism after their breakup, chose to speak out in defense of Bailey. Addressing rumors that he had "tied Halle down with a child," the rapper stressed his dedication to supporting and ensuring peace for his former partner. He urged people to stop criticizing Halle and expressed his desire for her to be left in peace. Additionally, he acknowledged that following the birth of their child, Halle might be experiencing emotional challenges that he may not fully comprehend but aims to respect.
Meanwhile, DDG also shared pictures of Halo's gifts from Kai Cenat, emphasising that he and his son are grateful to the streamer. "W gifts. Me and Halo appreciate it bro," he wrote in a post on X.
The whole situation highlights the importance of mutual communication and trust when parents share custody of a child after separating. Halle Bailey, admitting to possibly overreacting in her response, demonstrates that she is ready for dialogue and reflection. Co-parenting a child after the end of a relationship requires understanding and openness from both parents. DDG's response in defence of Bailey suggests that both are willing to cooperate to provide a stable environment for their son.
