Ukrainian advance forces Russian redeployment from Pokrovsk to Kursk
According to an analysis by the Institute for the Study of War, Russia has transferred several units from Pokrovsk to Kursk.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) indicate that the operation of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the Kursk region has exerted operational pressure on the Kremlin, likely leading Russia to transfer reserve units from Pokrovsk to the Kursk region.
Russian sources, including social media users, reported that at least one Russian 15th Motorised Rifle Brigade company has been transferred from Pokrovsk to the Kursk region.
It reads that the Russian military command could have transferred reserve units aiming to strengthen the priority Russian offensive operation to protect against the Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region.
Offensive towards Kursk
The offensive operation towards Kursk is ongoing. Ukrainian troops have advanced about 1.6 kilometres over the past day, General Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday.
- The offensive operation continues in the Kursk direction. During the day, our troops advanced up to two kilometers, a total of 5 square kilometers of territory were taken under control - Syrsky informed Zelenskyy.
At the same time, he noted that fighting of varying intensity is taking place along almost the entire front line. The most difficult situation remains in the direction of Pokrovsk.
