Are you struggling to fall asleep? Have you been under a lot of stress lately? It may be worth exploring a method from Ayurvedic medicine that is gaining popularity. Known as moon milk, this natural drink serves as an alternative to pharmaceutical sleep aids.
Does moon milk really work?
Stress is one of the primary causes of sleep disorders among adults in the UK. It often leads to racing thoughts that make it difficult to fall asleep. In these cases, lemon balm, though popular, is not always sufficiently effective. Moon milk, however, which is rich in tryptophan, may offer relief. This drink is considered to be very effective.
Moon milk, following Ayurvedic principles, is made with milk, ashwagandha, cinnamon, butter, turmeric, and butterfly pea flower.
To prepare moon milk, simply bring about 340 millilitres of milk to a boil. Once it cools slightly, add butter, turmeric, cinnamon, ashwagandha, and butterfly pea flower. Mix the ingredients, and your drink will be ready in a few minutes. It's best consumed an hour before bedtime.
