Media: SBU drones struck a refinery and an electrical substation in Russia

On Monday, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported that drones from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) hit a fuel base in the Russian Belgorod region and an electrical substation in the Lipetsk region.

"Last night, SBU drones were actively operating in the Lipetsk and Belgorod regions. As a result, the Oskolneftesupply's oil warehouses near Stary Oskol and the Yeleckaya substation with a capacity of 500 kV caught fire," - said the agency's source.

The informant noted that Russian social networks reported a series of loud explosions near the oil depot in the Belgorod region, and the governor of the Lipetsk region confirmed the fire at the Yeleckaya substation.

The Interfax-Ukraine agency's source explained that the Yeleckaya substation powers Russian railways, the Stanova oil pumping station, and ensures transit between the Lipetsk, Oryol, and Bryansk energy systems.

"Russian industry, which works for the war with Ukraine, remains a legitimate target for the SBU. Actions aimed at weakening the enemy's military potential will continue," - the agency's source announced.

On Monday morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense admitted that Ukrainians had attacked facilities on Russian territory. The statement mentioned the "Kyiv regime," which attempted "terrorist attacks using airplane-type drones and Storm Shadow air missiles.

The Russians declared that they destroyed 12 Olkha missiles and 12 drones in the Belgorod region, eight drones in the Kursk region, four maneuvering Storm Shadow cruise missiles, and seven drones over the occupied Crimea. According to Moscow, four drones were supposed to have been intercepted over the Lipetsk region.
